NORTHchurch is about developing fully devoted followers of Christ who love God and love people. That's our mission as a church.
We work to accomplish this mission by creating environments designed to encourage and equip people through GROUPS, GROWTH, GIVING, and GOING. As a church, we hold to these core values that guide, shape and uphold all of our efforts.
GROUPS
God is a relational God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and we believe he created us in his image to have meaningful relationships with one another; relationships that bring hope, healing, celebration, accountability, growth and the inspiration to help us become who God created us to be.
John 1:14 - So the Word became human and made his home among us.
GROWTH
NORTHchurch is a place of acceptance and expectance. We believe in accepting everyone as Christ accepted us, and expecting transformation in the life of every believer. God has given us the ability to transform through the grace and work of the Holy Spirit into people who resemble Christ more and more.
Luke 2:52 - Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.
GIVING
Generous living is our response of giving back our resources, time and abilities out of all God has so generously given to us. By giving we actively show the love of Christ to those around us as well as allow our own hearts to be transformed through acknowledging that God owns everything and has entrusted it to us to steward wisely. Matthew 20:28 - For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others.
GOING
The people of NORTHchurch are the church, not only on Sunday, but seven days a week. We actively participate in communicating the love of Christ not only by serving on Sundays, but during the week in our homes, schools, workplace, and throughout the world. Matthew 28:19 - Go and make disciples of all the nations.
