Missions The Cross and Crown Mission in downtown Oklahoma City is a local organization that NORTHchurch supports.

Below is a list of some of the missioinaries that NORTHchurch currently supports.

Ministry:
Mission of Mercy, Dominican Republic

Miguel Ovalles Miranda is one of hundreds of children in the Dominican Republic who needs a sponsor through Mission of Mercy.

North Church is teaming up with Mission of Mercy's location in Santiago, Dominican Republic, where we have already sponsored 120 children. Mission of Mercy is a child sponsorship organization helping to meet the physical and spiritual needs of children in poverty-stricken areas of the world. Through their ministry programs, children receive food, education, medical aid and hope in Jesus Christ.

Back2Back Ministries, Monterrey, Mexico

Back2Back Ministries communicates a lifestyle of service by sharing the love of Christ and serving God through their service to others. Africa Tabernacle Evangelism
Children: Carrie, Madison and Caleb

The Brown work with were called Africa Tabernacle Evangelism to build places of worship in all the countries open to the Gospel in Africa. The Browns have been involved in helping to build 50 tabernacles in Africa since 2000. In January 2008, they will be sent to build in Uganda. They believe God has their path planned out and they are ready to walk where He needs them.

Prayer requests:

  • Their greatest prayer need is for pastors to hear and understand that a church in Africa isn't just a building. It is a place of healing and a faith building for multitudes of people for many years.

Stephen Kuert Ministry

Church planting/Bible school training in Burundi.

80 percent of Burundi is under the age of 30. It is a nation full of young people that need to be reached.

Prayer requests:

  • For peace to prevail in a nation where genocide has dominated for the past 15 years
  • For great doors of opportunity in a nation where less than 5 percent are born-again
  • For protection over the team of missionaries in an extremely dangerous place
  • For God to move powerfully among the young people of the nation

Mark and Helba Lemos

Ministry:
Native missionaries to Brazil

Mark is the president of Pinda Bible School in Brazil. He and Helba also travel through- out Brazil planting Bible schools in various locations, as well as speaking at crusades.

Prayer requests:

  • For our monthly budget. We need to raise $1,000 per month in support to cover Bible school costs and other ministry expenses.
  • For the Brazilian government. One scandal after the other has rocked the nation, involving businessmen, congressmen, senators and even the president.

Children: John Michael, Laura Ashley, James-David, Emma-Grace

The Eatons planted a non-denominational church known as Alter Church in Frisco on Easter Sunday of 2006. Their church has a heart for reaching Muslim people in the Frisco area.

Prayer requests:

  • God's direction as they get involved with new ministries.
  • For people with the gift of evangelism to connect with them
  • For the Lord to burn a passion in the hearts of people to be involved in ministry for the Kingdom

Coastland Missions Center Philippines

Grandchildren: Dale and Chelsea

The Padupads are passionate about reaching the village people of the east coast of the Philippines. As native missionaries, they have built a boat to reach the farthest islands that have been mostly overlooked by missionaries.

Prayer requests:

  • For every need to be provided
  • For people to become disciples of Christ and not just converts
  • For Filipinos to become missionaries to the rest of the world

U.S. Missionaries to the University of California, Los Angeles through Chi Alpha Campus ministries

Winston and Kimberly have helped many college students draw closer to the Lord through Chi Alpha Campus ministries in Talequah, Okla., Columbia, Mo., and as of 2005, Los Angeles, Calif.

  • For every need to be provided
  • To find a house close to campus

Ministry:
Missionary to Siberia and Far East Russia

Carla has lived and worked in Russia since 1994. She currently is primarily working to help develop a national infrastructure to support the growth and development of children's ministry throughout eastern Russia, through developing regional children's ministers including Royal Rangers.

Prayer requests:

  • For the hundreds of children who live on the streets and under manhole covers and for the hundreds more who sleep at home but still have to survive on their own because of alcoholic and drug addicted parents

Karen Coon

Ministry:
US Missionary to Disney, Oklahoma

Karen is involved in Vision, a Teen Challenge center for women in Oklahoma. Karen teaches a class called "Healed to Rebuild" to women in prison who are recovering from sexual abuse. She also teaches about the drug epidemic to those in prison and to churches.

Prayer requests:

  • For a facility to house women for a year-long program of TC. We need finances for furnishing rooms, offices, kitchen, etc.


Ministry:
City Rescue Mission

City Rescue Mission, according to Christian principles provides health, safety, physical, and spiritual support services to anyone in need and assists individuals in becoming independent, dignified and productive members of society.

City Rescue Mission is a safe haven for people in Oklahoma City. CRM provides shelther, food, clothing, medical and dental services, as well and rescue and restoration programs for thousands of people every year.
